Second Album For Koushik Out In Stones Throw Records.

Koushik's haunting vocals float high about intricate beats, elevating the art form to new levels with samples from every imaginable source. Free jazz, psychadelic rock, bizarre 80's pop. You name the style and it has crept its way from Koushik's crates to his sampler. One listen to the new "Be With" EP reveals that our boy must have learned a thing or two about drums from the hip-hop golden era of the early 90's, when producers such as Large Professor, Pete Rock, and Dimaond D ruled. But for all the cracking drum programming, the mellow dreaminess of "Be With" owes just as much to the acid-drenched years of the 1960's. Shades of everything from the meloncholy melodies of the Zombies to the cosmic textures of Sun Ra color his arrangements. (Description By Stones Throw)
